Mod Sun’s fans reacted to the recent news surrounding the star’s ex-fiancée Avril Lavigne at a concert in New York City on Wednesday night.
The Happy Ending singer was spotted cuddling up to new beau Tyga at a fashion week event in Paris shortly after she called it quits with the 36-year-old musician.
At the show, a fellow rapper performed a verse to the supportive crowd that ended with the line: ‘F*** Tyga,’ which prompted the crowd to join in and a loud chorus of chanting ensued.
In footage obtained by media outlet TMZ, ticket holders were seen chanting the obscene line back to the musicians onstage and pumping their fists triumphantly in the air.
During the crowd’s outburst, Mod Sun – real name Derek Smith – appeared to be embarrassed and also humbled at the apparent display of solidarity from his loyal fans following a difficult breakup.
Rapper Travie McCoy kicked off the commotion in the audience when he gave a speech after joining the artist on the stage.

He said: ‘I just wanted to give all the love I have in my heart right now to a brother, Mod Sun’.
The famous face then went on to describe how the two bumped into each other on Melrose Avenue following which they proclaimed their friendly love for one another.
Travie continued: ‘I will say this: he is one of the three most loyal motherf***ers I have ever met in my life. F*** Tyga’.

That final line caught fire and soon could be heard echoing throughout the venue as Mod Sun hide away in disbelief at the support he was being offered by fans.
The performance came after the star revealed he was heartbroken at the failure of his engagement to the pop princess.
He penned an emotional message at the time on Instagram that read: ‘In 1 week my entire life completely changed…I just know there’s a plan for it all. I’ll keep my head up + always listen to my heart, even when it feels broken.
