Miley Cyrus has opened up on the rumoured ‘feud’ between herself and parents Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus.
A feud between Flowers singer Miley, 32, and Achy Breaky Heart hitmaker Billy Ray, 63, has been rumoured since Miley appeared to skip her dad’s wedding to ex-wife Firerose.
Billy Ray and Miley’s mother Tish Cyrus, 57, were married in 1993 but officially divorced in 2022 – with Billy Ray marrying Firerose just four months later.
Feud rumours between Miley and Tish recently began after it appeared Tish unfollowed her daughter on Instagram.
After posing with her dad as well as her boyfriend Maxx Morando and her brother Braison to celebrate his 31st birthday, the Party in the USA hitmaker has taken to Instagram to address the alleged tensions in her family.
On her Instagram Stories, she wrote: ‘I rarely comment on rumours, but my mama and I are too tight for anything to ever come between us. She’s my best friend.’

Further quashing any speculation over a rift between Miley and Tish, the Wrecking Ball singer added: ‘Like a lot of moms, she doesn’t know how to work her phone and somehow unfollowed me – simple, coincidental, and uninteresting.’
Opening up on her relationship with Billy Ray, Miley wrote: ‘My dad and I have had our challenges over the years.
‘Now, in my thirties, family is my priority above all else. I’m at peace knowing bridges have been built and time has done a lot of healing.’
Miley signed off: ‘Grateful for the good health and love that flows through my family.’
Posting the image of the quartet on Instagram, Billy Ray captioned the post: ‘Happy Birthday Braison!!!!!’
Billy Ray welcomed Miley with ex-wife Tish in 1992, the year before they tied the knot.

The former couple also share Braison, 31, and Noah, 25, while Billy also adopted Tish’s children Brandi, 37, and Trace, 36, from her relationship with Baxter Helson.
After ditching Billy Ray and Firerose’s wedding, Miley also did not thank her father in her winning speech at the Grammy Awards in February, and was accompanied by Tish to the glitzy ceremony.
Following the awards, Billy has reportedly tried to extend an olive branch, with an insider claiming to Us Weekly: ‘He’s tried reaching out to Miley many times and congratulated her on her Grammys.’
However, the We Can’t Stop icon did serve as maid of honor as her mother married Dominic Purcell.
It has been reported that Noah took issue with her mom’s relationship with Dominic after she allegedly dated the Prison Break actor. Neither Noah nor Braison attended their mum’s wedding.
The family feud resurfaced again earlier this year when Trace made comments about Billy Ray’s disastrous performance at President Donald Trump’s inauguration.
Billy Ray announced his split from Firerose in 2024 before announcing a new relationship with actress Elizabeth Hurley earlier this year.
