The baby poisoner – that’s the headline for the Metro as it leads on the opening of the trial of nurse Lucy Letby. 

The paper says a jury has heard that seven newborn babies who died on a neonatal ward of Countess of Chester hospital in a year were injected with insulin, air or milk by nurse Lucy Letby.

Ms Letby, 32, of Hereford, denies 22 charges at Manchester Crown Court.
