Metro leads with the death of a young British man who was fighting with Ukrainian forces. “Death of our hero”, says the headline as it reports the killing of Jordan Gatley, 24, in Ukraine. The former British soldier had been fighting in the Ukrainian army as a volunteer when he was “shot amid fierce fighting” against Russians on the frontline, it says. Paying tribute, Mr Gatley’s family is quoted as saying: “He truly was a hero and will forever be in our hearts.”
