Meghan Markle has reportedly called on Kim Kardashian’s former bodyguard to make up part of her private security detail.
The 41-year-old former actress was spotted hiking with two friends near her £14million home in Montecito, California.
Behind her trailed a mystery man wearing a pair of black shades who looked extremely similar to the man fans were used to seeing by the side of the Skims founder, 42.
It was reported the individual was the same minder that was part of the reality star’s protection in 2016 – before she was famously robbed at gunpoint in Paris.
The Sun suggested the bodyguard did in fact serve The Kardashians cast member before he joined the ranks of Meghan’s household.
They said that another of Kim’s former bodyguards, Steve Stanulis revealed: ‘These are guys who come from a small pool of elite bodyguards, from either police or military backgrounds.

‘Usually, if a guy is good enough to work for high-profile stars, it’s not unusual for them to be sought-after.
‘Not only for protection but also for clout. It looks good.’
The bodyguard turned filmmaker went on to say: ‘Kim’s security will be paramount. It’s no different for Harry and Meghan — they are world-famous and equally as vulnerable.’
Meghan’s latest hiring came after King Charles toasted his absent grandson Prince Archie on his fourth birthday at a family celebration in Buckingham Palace after the coronation – according to the Daily Mail.

Charles also raised a glass to Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis who were at the Abbey and the post-ceremony festivities in the royal residence.
The monarch is said to have toasted ‘those that weren’t there’ and wished his other grandson a very happy birthday ‘wherever he was’.
The Duke of Sussex attended the coronation but headed swiftly home to the US afterwards to be with the Duchess of Sussex and their children Archie and Princess Lili for Archie’s birthday, which fell on the same day.
Harry’s troubled relationship with his father Charles and the royal family hit new lows after he levelled criticism at his relatives in his memoir Spare at the start of the year.

Glasses of champagne and canapes including mini broad bean and tarragon coronation quiches were served in a running buffet at the Palace, the Mail said.
The King and Queen were joined by a host of royals including the Waleses, as well as Camilla’s nearest and dearest – her sister Annabel Elliot, her children Tom Parker Bowles and Laura Lopes, and her grandchildren.
