Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino has urged Armando Broja to ‘change his body language’ following Saturday’s FA Cup win over Preston.
Broja opened the scoring in the second half as Pochettino’s side registered a 4-0 victory over their Championship opponents to reach the fourth round.
It marked just the second goal in 15 games for the 22-year-old striker this term, who has found his opportunities somewhat limited, with a lot of his appearances coming from the bench.
Pochettino, quizzed if Broja’s strike against Preston will give him confidence, told the BBC: ‘I think it should be amazing.
‘He should smile, be positive and change his body language. I think when he performs well and finds the net he will improve. It’s important for the team and for him to improve his confidence.’
Speaking more generally about Chelsea’s victory, Pochettino added: ‘[It was] a very good win.
‘The first half I was a little disappointed. We started so sloppy. I told the players at half-time we needed to increase the energy and match that of Preston.

‘The second half was a completely different game. We dominated, created chances and deserved victory.
‘We showed a lack of desire in the first half and we were talking too much about their energy.
‘They were better than us in this area. I was really disappointed but after we increased our level we started to play and deserved to win.’
