Mauricio Pochettino is targeting four signings in his first summer in charge as Chelsea manager, including a sensational swoop for Tottenham star Harry Kane.
The Argentine has agreed terms with the Blues to become their new head coach with an official announcement expected imminently.
The former Tottenham boss will be tasked with overseeing a drastic overhaul of the Chelsea squad with as many as 12 players at risk of being moved on after a dismal 2022-23 season.
But the 51-year-old has already discussed a number of potential new signings with the club, according to The Independent, with Kane among them.
Kane developed into of the most feared strikers in Europe under Pochettino during his time in the Spurs dugout but his future in north London is uncertain with just over one year left on his current contract.
Manchester United are desperate to sign the England international this summer but Chelsea are also in the market for a new striker, with none of their players managing to hit double figures in the goal scoring charts this season.
West Ham United captain Rice is also wanted by Pochettino. Chelsea have long-standing interest in the midfielder, who was on their books as a youth player before being released as a 14-year-old.

Arsenal are thought to be the front-runners to sign the England international having made him their top target while Manchester United also plan to challenge the Gunners for his signature.
But Chelsea could also enter the picture for his signature with Pochettino eager to bring him back to west London.
Brighton star Mac Allister is also on the manager’s wish-list. The 24-year-old is expected to leave the Seagulls this summer with Liverpool hoping to sign him in a deal that could be worth £70million.
A move to Stamford Bridge would see him reunited with fellow World Cup winner Enzo Fernandez, who joined Chelsea in a club record deal in January.

Pochettino could turn to another Argentina international to serve as his new long-term no1 in Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.
The former Arsenal goalkeeper is ready to leave Villa Park this summer with neither Kepa Arrizabalaga or Edouard Mendy viewed as a reliable option in goal for the new manager.
Pochettino is also eager for Mason Mount to stay at the club amid his ongoing contract stand-off with Chelsea while Romelu Lukaku could also still have a future at the club.
