Breaking – Massive manhunt after three women killed in crossbow attack

A massive manhunt has been launched after three women, aged 25, 28 and 61 – believed to be a mother and her two daughters were found dead in a house in Hertfordshire.

Police believe the attack was targeted and a crossbow – and possibly other weapons – were used.

    Suspect ‘may have crossbow’

Just after 8.30 am on Wednesday, police published Kyle Clifford’s name, age, and photograph.

He is 26, from Enfield, north London. Detectives believe he could still be in either Hertfordshire or north London.

They appealed for the public’s help to find him, warning: “Given the serious nature of the incident, I would ask anyone who knows where he is to contact police immediately.

“If you believe you see him, please do not approach him and dial 999 straight away. He may still be in possession of a weapon.”

At the news conference in Hatfield on Wednesday lunchtime, Chief Supt Simpson confirmed police believe a crossbow was used in the attack, but “other weapons may also have been used”.

Some publications have named the women killed saying it was the BBC Five Live racing commentator John Hunt’s wife and two daughters who were ‘tied up and shot dead with a crossbow by an ex-boyfriend.’
