The fines continue to arrive for concerts at the Santiago Bernabéu. This time it was Manuel Carrasco’s turn. During his interview at The Revolt issued this Wednesday night, the singer has shown three fines from the Madrid City Council “for exceeding the noise levels permitted at the Santiago Bernabéu.” David Broncano, the presenter, has read them to the audience. The first is 144,000 euros, the second is 126,000 and the third is 129,000. Together they add up to 399,000. Broncano began to sing and the audience followed him: “Let’s go for the boat, oe!”
Manuel Carrasco seems to be, so far, the singer who will have to pay the most money in fines for his concert at the Bernabéu. The record was held by Taylor Swift, who had to pay 288,000 euros in two fines for the same reason. Duki also did it, who performed on June 8 and the sanctions reached 280,000 euros, 129,000 euros for the rehearsal day and 148,000 for the concert day.
16 concerts have already been held throughout this year at the Santiago Bernabéu. Since they started in April they have been surrounded by controversy due to the inconvenience that noise, dirt and traffic were causing among neighbors. The Association of People Injured by the Bernabéu filed a complaint against the general director of Real Madrid for this. The pressure generated by the new judicial front led to the club deciding in September to delay all the concerts it had planned, at least until March. Aitana, Lola Índigo, Dellafuente and a K-Pop group were left without performing.
While some artists, like Dellafuente, decided to move their concert to the Atlético de Madrid stadium, others waited for Real Madrid to allow the events to be held again in its temple. This is the case of Lola Índigo who, without knowing that she was going to set social networks on fire, last week announced new dates for June 14 of next year and the white club was quick to deny it: “At the moment, the club is not in a position to guarantee any date for holding concerts at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, until the pertinent tests are carried out to guarantee that the concert promoters will be in a position to comply with the regulations, once implemented. the measures implemented in coordination with public administrations.”
Coincidentally, the Madrid singer also had a visit scheduled to The Revolt that same day, where he spoke about the topic. “Until the work is completed, they cannot guarantee the date,” he said then. “We are working, both my team and the Bernabéu, so that the date can be met.”
