Doctor Who star Mandip Gill has warmed our hearts by sharing a number of cute photos of her and her co-star Jodie Whittaker following their exit, branding her time on the show as the ‘best five years ever’.

The Yaz actress bowed out of the sci-fi drama in the centenary special, The Power Of The Doctor, alongside the 13th Time Lord, who regenerated into David Tennant in the plot twist of all plot twists.

Following the dramatic episode, which aired on Sunday, Mandip took to Instagram to share a number of throwback photos while praising her co-stars, crew members, and fans.

Captioning the post, she wrote: ‘And the best part about it all is “nobody else got to be us” thank you to every single person behind the camera, in front and watching for the best five years ever!

‘I never thought I’d say this, but I hope I’m followed by Doctors and Daleks for the rest of my life. “Let’s not say goodbye” 💙🙏🏾’

Following the 90-minute special, the BBC confirmed David will become the 14th incarnation of the Doctor with Catherine Tate reprising her role as his former companion Donna Noble.

They will helm the show for three special episodes which will air in November 2023.

‘The path to Ncuti’s 15th Doctor is laden with mystery, horror, robots, puppets, danger and fun.
