Manchester United winger Antony failed to live up to his promise after vowing to ‘win the game’ for Casemiro after his red card against Southampton.
Casemiro was sent off in the 34th minute after a VAR review deemed his challenge on Carlos Alvaraz.
It was the Brazilian’s second sending off of the season, meaning he will miss United’s next four matches.
Casemiro was visibly distraught after the decision, realising that he’d let his team-mates down by leaving them to battle on with ten men for 56 minutes plus added time.
The former Real Madrid ace was comforted by Lisandro Martinez and Antony after the red card was brandished.
