Dortmund are set to offer Donyell Malen in part-exchange for Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho.
The winger hasn’t played for United since August after accusing Erik ten Hag of being a liar following his decision to drop the midfielder for a trip to Arsenal.
Sancho has been training individually and away from the first team, and has so far refused to apologise for his actions.
The 23-year-old is now minded to leave Old Trafford and Dortmund have shown interest in re-signing the midfielder following his departure in 2021.
The Germans could not afford United’s £50m asking price for Sancho on top of the midfielder’s reported £300,000-a-week wages.
But Bild say the Bundesliga giants plan to use United’s interest in former Arsenal ace Malen to help make the deal possible.

Malen, 24, excelled for PSV during Ten Hag’s time in the Netherlands and he’s tracked the Dutchman’s progress since his move to Germany in 2021.
Bild say Dortmund are meeting today to discuss a move for Sancho and that they will offer United the chance to swap the Englishman for Malen.
Should United refuse to let Sancho go, Dortmund will instead ask for a fee of around £25.7m for the Dutchman.
Malen spent eight years in Ajax’s academy before joining Arsenal in 2015, and he returned to Holland after two years at the Emirates.
The winger, 24, has four goals in 11 appearances this term.
