Aleksandar Mitrovic may have cost himself a move to Manchester United after his self-implosion at Old Trafford last week.
The Serbian striker was sent off for squaring up to the referee following his decision to award United a penalty during their 3-1 FA Cup quarter-final win at the Theatre of Dreams.
Fulham were 1-0 up at the time and by far the better side but the referee sent off Willian for handballing on the line and Marco Silva for protesting the decision, before giving Mitrovic his marching orders.
Mitrovic had put Fulham ahead in the tie and he came close to doubling their lead with a header shortly after.
It was an all-round impressive performance from the Serbian, until his sending off.
Mitrovic’s self-implosion couldn’t have come at a worse time as it emerges that United were taking a close look at the striker.

Erik ten Hag is desperate to strengthen his frontline this summer and he’s weighing up a move for Harry Kane or Victor Osimhen.
But, with Wout Weghorst set to return to Burnley, the Dutchman wants a new understudy and Mitrovic was of interest.
However, the former Newcastle man may have scuppered his chances with his actions at Old Trafford.
