Man killed in ‘unprovoked’ attack at London station
A man has been killed in an ‘unprovoked’ attack at a railway station in East London.
The British Transport Police (BTP) said a murder investigation has been launched after the incident, which happened at Harold Wood in Romford just after 4.30am today.
A member of staff at the station, located in the far east of the city near the border with Essex, spotted the man badly hurt on the floor.
Emergency services were called, but he was pronounced dead by London Ambulance Service at the scene.
