A man was given two hours to leave his supported accommodation and was made homeless just days before Christmas.
Joseph Broadbent, 31, was locked out of Russell House in Newark, Nottinghamshire, on December 22.
Police were called and officers seized his coat and other possessions.
Joseph admitted he had breached the rules on several occasions by having visitors outside of the designated and allowed visiting hours.
But with a fractured knee he felt it was unfair to be kicked out before Christmas.
He said: ‘I get why I have been evicted but the issue is they gave me just two hours to leave.
‘It is difficult to clear out a bathroom in two hours, let alone take everything I own.
‘They had me on the second floor so moving everything up and down the stairs in my current condition is extremely difficult.

‘I haven’t been violent. I haven’t been aggressive to anyone. Now I’ve been kicked out just before Christmas.
‘I don’t think that what has happened justifies getting kicked out with two hours’ notice.
‘I tried to talk to them, I was calm and wanted to come to some sort of arrangement but they wouldn’t listen to me. I was locked outside in the cold.
‘I am a vulnerable person, I’ve got a few different health issues and this situation is very stressful.’
Steve Watson, Framework’s director of homelessness services, said: ‘Framework exists to support and house some of society’s most vulnerable individuals across Nottinghamshire and the East Midlands. We work with those people in our services towards recovery and independence.
‘On rare occasions, due to the complex background of some of the people we support, there may be incidents of challenging behaviour which can cause risks for our other residents.
‘We work with all involved to resolve these issues where possible to create a safe and welcoming space for people who are at risk of homelessness.
‘If someone is asked to leave one of our accommodation services this would only be as a last resort and following the implementation of a long-term and supportive action plan.
‘Any action taken would be only based on evidence and within our externally assured policies and procedures.
‘If someone moves on in an unplanned way we would naturally signpost them to nearby services and the local authority and advise them to contact the local independent advocacy service SEA (Services for Empowerment and Advocacy).’
