Man City 5-0 Copenhagen: Pep Guardiola dismisses Haaland rumours
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has shot down reports in Spain that have said football sensation Erling Haaland’s City contract contains a special release clause for him to join Real Madrid in 2024.
Pep said “it’s not true,” adding: “He has not got a release clause for Real Madrid, or any other team.”
Haaland, 22, has had a dream start at City, with his most recent game seeing him knock two goals against Copenhagen in the Champions League.
Haaland has now scored 19 goals in his first 12 games since joining Manchester City in the summer.
His appearance at Wednesday’s win shows why is hardly surprising Haaland has been linked with the Spanish giants – his scoring power is second to none.
