The countdown is officially on to the Eurovision Grand Final and now UK entrant Mae Muller has teased what fans can expect when she takes to the stage.
After last year’s entry Sam Ryder came second with his smash hit Space Man, there’s a bit of pressure on 25-year-old Mae to replicate similar success with her catchy pop tune I Wrote A Song.
With the UK part of the Big Five, she managed to bypass the semi-finals and was automatically sent through with the entries for France, Germany, Spain and Italy, as well as last year’s winners Ukraine.
Now with two days to go, Mae has shared a clip of her performance.
When appearing on Thursday night’s semi-final, she participated in a pre-recorded Q & A before sitting down to chat with host Alesha Dixon.
As she pointed out before speaking to Mae, Alesha reminded people that the singer was born in 1997, the last time the UK won the competition.
When asked how it felt to represent her country on home turf, Mae couldn’t contain her excitement.
‘I cannot even describe to you how honoured I am to be here,’ she said.
‘I think it is safe to say on behalf of the whole UK that we are so excited to be hosting but especially on half of Ukraine.
‘It is a true honour and we are going to have the best time.’

She also thanked people for their ongoing support before the clip, which was filmed at a recent rehearsal, was played.
In it, Mae is wearing a black bodysuit, which has a sheer bodice and long sleeves, while her outfit is accessorised with layers of silver necklaces.
Flanked by dancers as a video that at first showed her eyes followed by different effects in the background, Mae then made her way down some stairs as she belted out her tune.
The break-up anthem then saw her strutting down the stage whilst being followed by several dancers.

After it finished up, the crowd in Liverpool Arena could then be heard singing some of the lyrics as Alesha said: ‘Let’s hear it for Mae everyone’.
Those watching on at home also threw their support behind her ahead of the big day.
‘Well done Mae! Superb performance and possible winner,’ one person posted on Twitter.
‘Mae Muller is such a Queen, I can’t wait for her to get up on that stage and give the performance of her life at that final!’ someone else said.
Another added: ‘Very pleasantly surprised by this! Great vocals, sass and originality. Mae is heading straight to the top 10.’

Despite being able to go straight through, Mae has already admitted the nerves are affecting her.
Chatting to Tyler West on Lorraine recently, she got candid about her pre-Eurovision nerves and the toll they’ve taken on her body.
When asked point blank by 27-year-old Tyler: ‘Have you done a nervous poo?’ Mae replied, ‘Constantly.’

While she said she felt pressure, it was ‘exciting and amazing’.
She also said that fans could expect ‘sass’ from her performance, and that her goal was for everyone to be ‘off their seats’.
The Eurovision Grand Final airs Saturday, May 13 at 8pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
