Luke Littler responds to salty opponents: ‘It’s a cup final to them’
Luke Littler has brushed off criticism from Ricardo Pietreczko at the Belgian Darts Open, saying that a clash with him is a ‘cup final’ for his opponents.
The teenage superstar lifted the trophy in Wieze after a string of brilliant performances, including a 9-darter in the final against Rob Cross.
The semi-final win over Pietreczko was not his toughest test, winning 7-3, but the German was not happy with Littler after the game, angrily saying something to him on stage after the contest.
Pietreczko wrote on social media after the match: ‘So I really appreciated the fact that you can play a game like that at such an age. But I hope the arrogance punishes him.’
