Emmerdale’s Lucy Pargeter has shared a kind message to her fans as her emotional storyline continues.
Lucy plays Chas Dingle in the ITV soap, who was recently told she has triple-negative breast cancer, the same diagnosis her mum Faith Dingle (Sally Dexter) had, who died in October 2022.
The discovery of the lump only happened after sleeping with Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson), who told Chas she needed to get checked out just to be on the safe side.
After time in denial and putting off the appointment, Chas headed to the hospital this week and was told while she has the same diagnosis as her mum, her treatment plan will be different, as cases are not the same.

The upsetting scenes sparked a huge reaction from fans online, with many praising Lucy Pargeter for her performance, as well as sharing their own experiences with cancer.
A few days ago (January 22), Lucy shared a tweet that read: ‘Thank you…nothing more but 🧡’.
Last night, the actress returned to the social media platform to share love and an apology to her followers, explaining that while she has read so many stories from people, she is ‘finding it hard’ to juggle everything currently.

She wrote: ‘Just want to first apologise for not replying to each of you you who this story has personally connected with, I have read every one of your messages, but I’m finding it hard to read , learn lines and be a mum all at the same time at the moment. You are incredible.
She then added: ‘And I’m utterly rubbish, I’m sorry , you have the time to share your experience and your story with me , and I’m sending a general “ thanks “ never time or space for the balance in life !!!! But you are all an inspiration and the reason for all of this.’
In upcoming episodes of the ITV soap, Chas will decide to tell the Dingle family about her cancer.

Afterwards, Chas turns her attention to daughter Eve and will sit down with Paddy (Dominic Brunt) and gently explain to the young girl that she isn’t well.
