Love Island’s Tom Clare has confirmed him and Samie Elishi have broken up days after she revealed she only went on the show for exposure.
The couple, who met on the most recent series of the reality dating show, made it all the way to the final, where they were eventually named in third place.
Like many in the villa, the pair had their fair share of fights and emotional moments, however declared their love for one another during the final episodes.
Soon after the show wrapped up, the two confirmed they were officially boyfriend and girlfriend.
But one month on, they’ve now decided to go their separate ways.
After rumours began swirling earlier this week that the couple had been the latest from their series to call it quits, Tom, 23, confirmed the news on Wednesday.

‘Didn’t think I’d be writing this but me and Samie have gone our separate ways,’ he posted in a statement to his Instagram stories.
‘We are still on good terms, and I have nothing but love and respect for her.’
He added: ‘I’m gutted it’s come to an end, but I truly wish Samie the best.’

Last week Samie, 22, admitted that she only signed up for the show to gain exposure.
Speaking on former Love Islander Chloe Burrows’ new YouTube show, Chloe vs The World, the estate agent co-ordinator was asked if she went on the show to find love or for fame.
‘I’m going to be honest, mine was the second one. I didn’t expect to meet anyone,’ she said.
The pre-recorded interview was done with footballer Tom, who then said he went on the show to make a lasting connection.
‘I really wanted to meet someone, but in the first two weeks I was like, “I’m stuffed here, there’s no one for me”.’

Speaking over the top of her then-boyfriend, Samie then joked about the idea anyone is on the show for love, saying: ‘It’s f***ing Love Island.’
Their split comes after three other couples broke up after cameras stopped rolling last month.

Their co-stars Casey O’Gorman, 26, and Rosie Seabrook, 24, became the first pair to call time on their romance just days after they departed the dating show.
Zara Lackenby-Brown and Jordan Odofin also followed suit in sharing news of their break-up on the same day, while Olivia Hawkins and Maxwell Samuda were the third couple to split.
Love Island is streaming on ITVX.
