Love Island’s Laura Anderson and Hollyoaks star Gary Lucy have welcomed their first child.
The reality tv star, 34, confirmed she and Gary are now parents to a little girl who they’ve called Bonnie.
She shared the happy news on Instagram, writing: ‘Hi everyone, my name is Bonnie Rose Lucy Anderson.’
Laura added: ‘I was born 02/09/23 at 06.03am and weighed 6.10lbs.
‘My mummy and daddy are sooo in happy and in love with me, this is our first week together.’
According to the Sun, she added: ‘I’m sorry it’s taken me some time to introduce myself, I hurt mummy a little bit and scared daddy too (oops) we’re all now recovering well at home.’
Laura and Gary, 41, announced they were expecting their child back in February, with the Celebrity Karaoke Club finalist sharing an adorable clip to Instagram sharing her pregnancy journey with the world, showing off her blossoming bump and early scans.
The pair captioned the post: ‘Our hearts are full, Baby Lucy due Summer ‘23.’
However, shortly after the announcement, Gary, who already shares four children with his ex-wife Natasha Gray, announced the couple were no longer together with Laura removing him from their baby post.
Laura went on to admit that the pair were ‘not on good terms’ following the split, with a source also claiming she was ‘so upset’ with Gary for announcing they were expecting a baby girl ‘without her consent.’
While sharing plenty of exciting updates on her pregnancy, Laura also kept it real about the anxieties that come with becoming a parent.
Although the soap star will be ‘involved’ in bringing up their baby, Laura has also admitted welcoming a child into the world alone was not something she’d ever anticipated.
In a heartbreaking column for OK! the star confessed she’s ‘grieving’ for the life she thought she would be living.
‘I’ve been putting a lot of things, such as a baby shower, off,’ she explained, ‘because I feel like I’m sort of grieving the life I thought I’d have, being pregnant.
‘It’s a grievance what I thought my life was going to be like, at this point, and how I thought my first pregnancy was going to be – settled down with my partner and raising a baby together.’
However, Lucy and Gary fuelled reconciliation rumours in August as just days before they were due to welcome their daughter, the pair had reportedly been seen spending time together in Scotland.
