Love Island was a little less glamorous than usual on Wednesday as the islanders were served a genuinely horrific meal.
As the potential couples got to know each other on a romantic date out in the garden, it was up to Sammy Root and Whitney Aebayo to rustle them up some grub.
The issue being – they have no idea how to cook.
It led to Sammy creating a dish of his own, which he described as ‘pasta mash.’
And it’s exactly what it says on the tin. Spaghetti. All mashed up. And covered in sauce.
Yum.

As they served the not-so-Michelin-star meal to their fellow islanders, everyone was polite to their faces, even as they were told they were getting ‘pasta mash.’
But as soon as they turned their backs, the whispers rang out: ‘What the f*** is that?’
Sammy himself, eating in the kitchen with Whitney, even admitted: ‘That’s f***ing disgusting.’
To which an exasperated Whitney said: ‘I told you it would be disgusting.’

Viewers were just as horrified, flocking to Twitter to share their opinions, with one person writing: ‘What kind of cooking horror show am I witnessing?’
‘Get Sammy out of the kitchen immediately,’ one wrote, with another joking: ‘There’s gonna be no episode tomorrow cause they’re all gonna have food poisoning.’
It was followed by Sammy’s Super Sexy Sundae for desert – his description, not ours.
However we didn’t hear any complaints, so he must have been joking about putting the onions in the ice cream as a treat.
