Love Island fans compare Casey O Gorman’s trumpet solo to Indiyah Polack’s recorder performance: ‘They need to duet at the reunion’

Love Island viewers couldn’t help but notice the striking comparison between Casey O’Gorman’s trumpet recital to Indiyah Polack’s iconic recorder performance.

Monday’s episode saw the return of the annual talent show which has blessed us with iconic moments from Siannise Fudge and Luke Trotman’s coordinated dance on the first winter series, and Milie Court’s ‘interesting’ piano solo.

Recruitment consultant Casey, 26, was seen in a black and white suit with a dazzling gold bow tie completing the look.

For a brief moment his performance looked promising, but his fellow islanders quickly burst into laughter after the first note.

Lana Jenkins and Ron Hall were the first to lose their composure, and fans compared it to the hilarious moment Andrew Le Page lost it during Indiyah’s big moment.

Fans had a serious case of deja vu following Casey’s solo, with one person tweeting: ‘Casey was really tryna recreate Indiyah 2.0 moment with the trumpet but it was just not givinggggg. Nothing will ever beat this moment.’

‘Casey needs to form a band with Millie and Indiyah,’ another added.

A third person wrote: ‘Casey with that trumpet is just as bad as Indiyah with her recorder LMFAOOOO.’

Tonight’s talent special saw Samie Elishi wow the crowd with her tapdancing skills, while Jessie Wynter and Rosie Seabrook sang Don’t Cha by the Pussycat Dolls.

Presenter Maya Jama recently confirmed when the grand finale will take place – and it’s just around the corner.

In a post shared on social media, Maya, 28, said: ‘Guys, I have some very, very exciting news.

‘The Love Island final is going to be on… drumroll please…Monday, March 13 on ITV2 and ITVX.’

This means in about a week’s time, the Love Island 2023 champs will be revealed!

Love Island returns tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2.
