A bus burst into a huge fireball in southwest London this afternoon.
Footage posted to social media shows the London Fire Brigade battling to bring the massive blaze under control.
Thick plumes of black smoke can be seen billowing from the single decker in Twickenham.
Fortunately it appears that nobody was injured.
Traffic delays have since been reported in the area.
Scotland Yard said officers were called to Richmond Road shortly before 1.30pm.
The LFB said in a statement: ‘One diesel single decker bus was destroyed by the fire.
‘All passengers and the driver left the bus before the Brigade’s arrival.
‘There are no reports of any injuries.
‘The road remains closed following the incident and people are advised to avoid the area for the rest of the day.’
It is the fourth time this year a bus has caught fire in the capital.
In the first incident, the back of a No. 200 bus was ripped off when it went up in flames in Wimbledon shortly after 7am on January 11.
Another bus was completely gutted when a blaze broke out on board in North Woolwich on January 12.
A double decker erupted in flames in Putney Bus Garage, west London, just under a fortnight later, on January 25.
