Liverpool want to sign Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich
Liverpool have reportedly made an initial approach for Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch as Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp looks to bolster his midfield options in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Mason Mount remains a top priority target for Liverpool, who will have just one year left on his Chelsea contract by the end of this season. Mount remains a top priority for The Reds but the club is no longer expected to make a move for England star Jude Bellingham this summer, due to his club Borussia Dortmund wanting bigger bucks.
A report in The Times suggests Liverpool officials have held talks with Gravenberch’s father in the Netherlands, and a deal could see cost around £25 million.
Gravenberch is said to be considering his options as he’s struggled to get playing time at Bayern Munich this season. He joined the German club last summer in a €18.5m (£16m) deal from Ajax, but has been unable to establish himself as a regular player. His lack of playing time at the club also saw the midfielder miss out on a spot in the Netherlands’ World Cup team.
‘He did well when he was subbed on against Freiburg,’ Bayern manager Thomas Tuchel said. ‘I’m not thinking any further than Hoffenheim right now. He’s a candidate to start or to come on during the game.’
