There’s a variety of lead stories on the Sunday front pages but Liverpool’s FA Cup victory is celebrated on many front pages. Jurgen Klopp’s team beat Chelsea on penalties in the final.

The Sunday Telegraph lead story writes that Cabinet ministers have turned on the Bank of England over rising inflation. The paper quotes an unnamed minister warning: “It had one job to do – to keep inflation at around 2% – and it’s hard to remember the last time it achieved its target.”
The paper’s lead image is of Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson holding the FA Cup high after they beat Chelsea in the final at Wembley on penalties.

In a serialisation of his new book, the ex-health secretary tells how civil servants tried to stop him from sending letters of apology to families and ready patients’ letters of complaints.
The Observer – Our crumbling schools ‘a risk to life,’ officials warn No 10
The Observer’s lead story looks at the “crumbling” state of schools in England which are a “risk to life”, according to a leaked government document it’s obtained. The papers say officials urgently call on the Treasury to make extra billions available for hundreds more rebuilding projects.
Sunday Mirror – Eastenders racist ruined my life
Claims of a racist taunt from a TV soap star feature on the Sunday Mirror’s front. ‘EastEnders racist ruined my life’ is the headline. Michelle Antonio tells of being mentally scarred following a “seaside bust-up” with TV’s Kate Jarvis. Last month, the actor admitted racially aggravated harassment and common assault and was sentenced to a community order.
The paper features an image of Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson holding the FA Cup, celebrating their win over Chelsea as well as news of a tribute to Caroline Flack.
Sunday Express – Rishi ready to help on cost of living
Chancellor Rishi Sunak has told Sunday Express readers he will do “everything in his power” to help them through the cost of living crisis engulfing Britain. The paper says he “stands ready to take further action”.

This week’s revelation that serial killer Levi Bellfield had proposed to a woman during prison visiting hours – and requested a wedding – is followed up by the Sunday People.
The paper says her ex-partner claims she has been “brainwashed”.
Mail on Sunday – Anger as Liverpool cup final fans boo William
Football fans have been condemned for apparently booing the Duke of Cambridge at the FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday.
The Daily Mail says Liverpool fans booed Prince William and the National Anthem during the clash against Chelsea.
