Liverpool request for Carabao Cup clash with Arsenal to be postponed due to rising Covid cases
The Metro says Liverpool have requested for their Carabao Cup semi-final clash with Arsenal on Thursday to be postponed due to rising Covid cases.
Liverpool have been dealing with a Covid outbreak at the club which saw manager Jurgen Klopp and three players test positive last week.
Klopp, goalkeeper Alisson, defender Joel Matip and forward Roberto Firmino all missed Sunday’s match against Chelsea after returning positive tests.
In all, Liverpool were without nine players for the trip to Stamford Bridge due to positive cases, injuries and suspensions.
