Manchester United ace Lisandro Martinez has returned to Carrington to work on his recovery from a foot injury.
The Argentine missed the end of last season with a metatarsal injury but he returned in pre-season.
However, Martinez struggled for form at the start of this campaign and felt inhibited by the injury.
The defender sought advice from a specialist, who recommended him to undergo the surgery for a second time to clear up his issues.
Martinez underwent the surgery around six weeks ago, and has spent part of his recovery in his homeland of Argentina.

However, the Argentine was back at Carrington on Wednesday to continue his rehabilitation on an individual basis.
Martinez remains some way off a return, with United expecting him back to full fitness after Christmas.
But his return to Carrington will be a boost for Erik ten Hag, who was able to welcome Luke Shaw back into the fold in full training on Wednesday.
The defender has missed the last two months of action, but could now form part of Sunday’s squad to face Everton.
