Lionesses star Lotte Wubben-Moy fulfils promise to young deaf fan in heartwarming moment against Italy
Lionesses star Lotte Wubben-Moy fulfilled a promise she made to a young deaf fan with her goal celebration in England’s 5-1 win over Italy on Tuesday.
The 25-year-old defender, who plays her club football for Arsenal, put Sarina Wiegman’s side ahead in the first minute in the friendly match played in Spain.
Having scored for her country, there was a heartwarming moment as Wubben-Moy paid tribute to young England fan Izzy, who is severely deaf.
‘Her first England goal, what a special moment for her,’ ITV presenter Seema Jaswal said after the match about Wubben-Moy.
