Lily Allen has brilliantly corrected a fan after they dared to criticise her Thanksgiving turkey on Instagram.
The Smile singer, 38, was having none of it when one of her 1.6million followers shaded her dinner, branding her culinary masterpiece as a ‘tad overdone’ and proceeded to give her unsolicited cooking tips,
Commenting on a picture of the Dreamland actress proudly showing off the fruits of her labour, the fan wrote: ‘Nice job. You should try using a thermometer and pull it out at 165F. Looks a tad overdone.’
Lily, who recently debuted a dramatic new red hairdo, clapped back: ‘I did and it was 165. It was perfect, thank you.’
The exchange caused quite the stir among Lily’s followers who leaped to her defence, with one writing: ‘You got mansplained on your already perfect turkey. 🙄.’
‘Not you giving the most basic advice to Lily Allen 😂,’ another cringed, while a third added: ‘Not you roasting someone about a roast, icon 😂😂😂.’

Lily is now well accustomed to US traditions, having lived in New York for a number of years with her Stranger Things husband, David Harbour.
Their relationship was recently questioned when Lily seemed to unfollow David on Instagram, with sources claiming they were living ‘separate lives’, with Lily performing in London’s West End and David remaining at home in the US.
As speculation mounted, they appeared to quash claims of a split when they were snapped looking giddy on date nights and cosying up to each other at sports games.

David, 48, later addressed the rumours after he was asked straight-out how his marriage with the Somewhere Only We Know musician is – and acknowledged they spend a lot of time apart.
In an interview with People, he said his marriage was ‘ultimately … very good’ but admitted the Hollywood strikes had affected their relationship.
As an actor, he was ‘sitting on the couch depressed as hell’ with ‘nothing to do’.

He continued: ‘My wife likes when I go to work because it’s nice for her to have her life and me to have my life and for us not to just annoy each other by being around all the time.’
Lily last made a public declaration of love for her husband last week when they celebrated their three-year wedding anniversary.
Taking to Instagram, Lily posted a very smiley snap from their special day, looking gorgeous in her unique wedding dress as she beamed up at her other half.
