Liam Payne has been taken to hospital after suffering ‘agonising’ pain, it’s been reported.
It’s been claimed that while he was celebrating his one-year anniversary with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy, the former One Direction singer fell ill in Lake Como, Italy.
A source said that the 30-year-old was ‘in a bad way’, weeks after he told fans that he’d had to postpone his first solo tour after being in hospital with a serious kidney infection.
‘Liam is in a bad way but he’s in the best place he can be and finally doctors will be able to get to the bottom of what is going on,’ the source said.
They continued to The Sun: ‘Naturally he is gutted that his and Kate’s trip to Lake Como has been ruined but at least she was there to help him when he fell ill.
‘Doctors have warned him not to expect to be signed off to go home for at least another six days.’

According to the source, the doctors want to ‘do every test possible to understand the issue’.
The publication claims that Liam was taken to A&E in an ambulance before being taken to a hospital ward for emergency treatment, where he is expected to stay for a few days.
On August 25 this year, Liam issued a message on his Instagram announcing that he was having to delay his solo tour to South America on account of his health.
In his caption, he wrote: ‘It’s with a heavy heart I have to tell you that we have no other choice but to postpone my upcoming tour of South America.
‘Over the past week I’ve been in hospital with a serious kidney infection, it’s something I wouldn’t wish on anyone, and doctors orders are that I now need to rest and recover.’

The musician continued: ‘I was beyond excited to come play for you guys. To all of you who have bought tickets: I’m so sorry. We’re working to re-schedule the tour as soon as we possibly can, but for now we will be refunding the tickets – so please look out for updates from your point of purchase.
‘Thanks as always for the love and support, and look forward to seeing you soon.’
Liam celebrated his 30th birthday on August 29, with his girlfriend Kate writing on Instagram to mark the occasion: ’30 never looked so good❤️happy birthday love.’
Kate shared a compilation of pictures from Lake Como just three days ago. The couple confirmed their relationship in December last year when they attended the British Fashion Awards together.
