The Daily Star on Sunday leads on reports that Liz Truss’s phone was hacked by Russia. A report says President Putin’s cyber-spies are suspected of having “gained access to top-secret exchanges … as well as private conversations” from Truss’s personal phone, from when she was foreign secretary.
But the Daily Star on Sunday has a lighthearted approach to the news – continuing with their lettuce theme. “Lettuce Liz hacked by Mad Vlad” reads the headline. The paper asks: “Is this the tip of the iceberg?”

Locals say there have been two bonfires on the green at either end of the large, open space each Guy Fawkes Night. But that has soon turned into an “opportunity” for dumping rubbish.

Daily Star says Liverpool fans have started to turn on Jurgen Klopp after Leeds United netted an 89th-minute winner at Anfield on Saturday evening.
Young Dutchman Crysencio Summerville wriggled free in the box to turn the ball past Alisson – sending the Leeds fans, and under fire boss Jesse Marsch, wild. Liverpool were second best for the majority of the tie, and Leeds claimed a well-deserved three points.
The Reds are now clinging to their spot in the top half of the table, with 15th-placed Leeds four points from Klopp’s side. And as Liverpool continue to slip down the Premier League table, some fans have started to call for change.
