    Leftist candidate Orsi wins Uruguay's presidential election

    Former history teacher Yamandu Orsi of the Frente Amplio leftist alliance defeated Alvaro Delgado of the National Party, part of the ruling Republican Coalition, in Uruguay’s presidential election on Sunday. A victory for Orsi sees Uruguay shift left after five years of center-right rule.
