Last edition Apple Daily: Hong Kong pro-democracy newspaper Apple Daily sells out across city

The i says emotions ran high as hundreds of Hong Kong residents filled the streets outside newspaper vendors to snap up the final copy of the city’s tabloid Apple Daily.

Rocked by frozen assets on national security grounds, the 26-year-old newspaper ran out of cash and options and was forced to shut down earlier than planned.
