La Palma eruption – Dramatic video shows lava BOILING swimming pool water and destroying homes as thousands flee
The Sun says THOUSANDS have been forced to flee as lava from the erupting volcano on the Spanish isle of La Palma continues to spew out.
Streams of hot molten rock from the La Cumbre Vieja volcano swallowed swimming pools and homes in hellish scenes as it tore through El Paso.
Water in swimming pools hit by the flow was seen boiling as the lava wrought havoc.
The unstoppable force of nature was flowing at 700 metres per hour on Monday with a temperature of over 1,000C, according to the Canary Islands Volcanology Institute.
