Former Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh has split from her husband Scott Ratcliff after 18 months of marriage, it’s been reported.
The 46-year-old, who starred in the most recent series of Strictly Come Dancing, and the Army Major were both busy with work, which allegedly contributed to the breakdown of their relationship.
Kym is also starring in Waterloo Road, and is a regular host on BBC1 daytime show Morning Live, while Scott, 34 is an Army Major.
A source said: ‘They both really tried to make it work, but the cracks have been there for a while.’
The couple is said to have only been able to see each other once or twice a week.
Kym lives in Cheshire, while Scott’s barracks are based down south, which also created problems, a source told The Sun.

‘They had a trial separation earlier this year and were hoping to get things back on track but they’ve decided it’s best to go their separate ways.’
The source added that their family and friends are aware, and they are hoping to be ‘amicable.’
Kym met Scott in 2018, and they married in October 2021.
She previously told OK! that they were able to manage the distance between them: ‘We do spend great chunks of time apart and it’s not always easy, but it’s always felt easy in the sense that there never seems to be a problem we can’t overcome and we don’t really argue.’

Kym’s first husband was former EastEnders actor Jack Ryder, 41, who she married in 2002 but divorced seven years later. In 2012 she married Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas, 48, but they divorced in 2014.
Kym has children David, 28, and Emilie, 26, from an earlier relationship
as well as daughter Polly, 12, with Jamie, with whom she also had son
Archie in 2009, who died moments after he was born.
