Kim Kardashian speaks out after 8 found guilty over ‘terrifying’ Paris robbery
Kim Kardashian has spoken out after eight people were found guilty of robbing her in Paris nearly a decade ago.
In 2016, several men stormed the Kardashians star’s hotel room and held her at gunpoint, before stealing jewelry worth $10million – including her engagement ring from ex-husband, Kanye West.
Nine men and one woman were accused of carrying out the burglary, or aiding those who took part and, years after the incident, they appeared in court in the French capital.
Following a four-week trial, the court found eight people guilty earlier today, while two were acquitted.

Meanwhile Yunice Abbas, Didier Dubreucq and Marc-Alexandre Boyer received a seven-year jail sentence, with five suspended.
Addressing the news in a statement, via NBC News, Kardashian – who appeared in court alongside mother Kris Jenner – said: ‘I am deeply grateful to the French authorities for pursuing justice in this case.
‘The crime was the most terrifying experience of my life, leaving a lasting impact on me and my family.
‘While I’ll never forget what happened, I believe in the power of growth and accountability and pray for healing for all.

‘I remain committed to advocating for justice, and promoting a fair legal system.’
The robbery took place in the early hours of October 3, 2016, while Kim was in the area for Paris Fashion Week, along with her sisters, Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner.
The terrifying attack was led by five armed men, posing as police officers, who tied up the Skims founder and locked her in the bathroom, along with the concierge.
They reportedly stole a jewelry box worth $6.7 million and a ring worth $4.5 million.

Abbas went on to release a book, I Kidnapped Kim Kardashian, in 2021.
Of the original 12 suspects, one has since died, and another defendant was ruled unfit to stand trial due to a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease.
Kardashian took to the stand last week and became emotional as she unpacked the incident, reportedly wiping away tears at points.
She told the court that they repeatedly began asking for the ‘ring’, which was eventually found next to her bed.
‘They picked me up off the bed and grabbed me and took me down the hallway to look for more jewelry, more stuff,’ she said, via the BBC, recalling the moment one of the men held the gun to her back.

‘That was the first moment I thought should I run for it? But it wasn’t an option so I just stayed – and that’s the moment I realized I should just do whatever they say.’
Kardashian said she was thrown on the bed while her hands were bound with zip ties – she asked the concierge to tell them that she ‘has babies’ and that she has to ‘make it home’.
Speaking to the jury, she said one of the men pulled her towards him, which made her robe fall open and expose ‘everything on my body’.
It was this moment that she believed that she would be raped.
‘I’m certain that’s the moment he rapes me. I say a prayer to mentally prepare myself,’ she continued, before explaining that they tied her legs together and held the gun to her.

‘At that point I was sure that’s when they were going to shoot me,’ she added. ‘So I said a prayer for my family and my mum, and my sister and best friend.
‘I absolutely did think I was going to die.’
Khedache had reportedly written a letter in apology, to which Kim added: ‘I do appreciate it, I forgive you.
‘But it doesn’t change the emotion, the feelings and the trauma and the way my life has changed.’
