Kevin De Bruyne’s incredible header for Manchester City against Brighton is being compared to a goal scored by Manchester United icon Robin van Persie.
De Bruyne opened the scoring for City on Thursday night as Pep Guardiola’s side defeated Brighton 4-0 to keep the pressure on Premier League leaders Arsenal.
His remarkable diving header from 12 yards, after a cross from Kyle Walker, flew past Jason Steele and has already been likened to Van Persie’s World Cup heroics.
United icon Van Persie scored a similar goal for the Netherlands at the 2014 World Cup against Spain, a legendary moment leading to a Puskas Award nomination.
