Kerry Katona has shared an update on panto rehearsals with close friend Katie Price, who is also rumoured to be moving in with her.
The Atomic Kitten star, 44, and former glamour model, 46, are set to star in Northwich Memorial Court’s production of Cinderella this festive season.
The besties take on the role of the wicked stepsisters, with the pantomime kicking off on December 8 and closing on New Year’s Eve.
Kerry and Katie have been spotted enjoying vape breaks during rehearsals, but reality TV star Kerry has assured fans that Katie is ‘doing so well’ in the production following her chaotic stint in Sleeping Beauty at Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena in 2023.
‘I’ve started panto rehearsals now for our performance of Cinderella at Northwich Memorial Court, which have been going really well,’ she wrote in her New Magazine column.
‘Katie Price is in it with me and she’s been doing so well, it’s nice to have her around.’
She also clarified reports that the pair had moved in together as Katie looks to sell her iconic Mucky Mansion.
‘I did see reports that she had moved in with me – which definitely isn’t true,’ Kerry wrote.
‘She will be coming for lots of sleepovers while she’s here though, which will be nice.’
Revealing the news of the casting on her podcast, Katie said: ‘I’ve signed up to another panto! Cinderella!
‘I’ve signed up for Cinderella and I’m one of the ugly sisters – and guess who is the ugly sister I’m doing it with – it’s Kerry Katona!’
Katie shared how Kerry helped get her cast in the show, which has reportedly broken theatre records in ticket sales.
‘So Kerry got me the gig because she has been working with them for six years,’ she continued.
‘And she was like “Why don’t you come and do this panto”, and she said it was for the ugly sisters and I said, “Oh are we ugly then?” and she said we can still be really pretty.’
The stars met in 2004 during their stint on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!, which Kerry went on to win alongside Joe Pasquale.
They have remained firm friends ever since, with Katie and Kerry welcoming 2024 together at a New Year’s Eve party at which Katie confirmed her split from ex Carl Woods.
