Kelly Ripa proved herself to be a ‘cool mom’ as she tried to set her son up with none other than Hollywood legend, Sharon Stone.
The TV host, 53, shares three children with husband Mark Consuelos, and couldn’t help but play matchmaker for her oldest kid, 26-year-old Michael.
On the latest episode of her Let’s Talk Off Camera podcast, she was joined by the Basic Instinct actress, 65, when talk turned around to her guest’s screen career.
Wasting absolutely no time, the presenter said: ‘I wish I could introduce you to my children because my sons … I have two sons that are very dichotomous in their personalities. They are not similar in any way, they disagree on everything – except the hotness of Sharon Stone.
‘You’re in that category of movie star who makes movies you want to watch over and over and over again.
‘If my boys walk in, they’re like, “Yeah right, as if Robert De Niro would ever be able to get her. Yeah right, like Joe Pesci would have a chance with Sharon Stone.”’

‘Gosh, the men I was cast opposite were so much older than me,’ Sharon recalled. ‘They were amazing, they were legends, they were astounding. They were all the big animals in the business. Every big superstar, I got to work opposite, every legend.
‘They were all 25-30+ years older than me when I was playing their paramours. I look at them now and I adore them, but they’re really, really elderly men now.
‘It was true to life. These women always were 20, 25, 30 years younger than the men, but if we dated someone 10 years younger we’d be a cougar.’
Hearing Sharon discuss dating younger men, Kelly saw her chance and suggested that she could set her up with her son, insisting it would be the ‘greatest honor’.
‘Sharon, I could set you up with my son right now. He’s 26. I would love for you to be my daughter-in-law. That would be the greatest honor of our family,’ she urged to laughter from her co-stars.
“Have you met our daughter-in-law, Sharon Stone?” Would you think if it’s weird if we introduce you like our daughter-in-law, Sharon Stone?’
Laughing off the proposal, Sharon replied: ‘Could you imagine? I can, however, say that I have dated men whose mothers were my age. I’ve really hit off. Twice this has happened to me, and I’ve had fantastic relationships with their parents.
‘Frankly it’s been a joy for me because I don’t have family anymore.’

Never one to quit, Kelly recommended: ‘I will set you up with my son and you’ll have all the family you can handle, because let me tell you, we are a lot.’
‘You have to at least be 45,’ Sharon insisted, as the host quipped: ‘Well, he acts like he’s 45, does that help?’

Sharon has walked down the aisle twice in the past, and was married to Michael Greenburg between until 1990, and later tied the knot with Phil Bronstein– who she adopted son Roan with – in 1998, until their split five years later.
She is also mom to sons Laird and Quinn.

The Casino actress has kept her private life firmly behind closed doors in recent years, but previously revealed that she was looking for love on Bumble – before she was accidentally booted off the platform.
While most A-Listers have seemingly shied away from dating apps, or stick to celebrity site Raya, Sharon spoke of her stint on Bumble on social media, urging bosses to reinstate her account after it was blocked in 2019.
Taking to Twitter, she fumed as the time: ‘I went on the @bumble dating sight and they closed my account. Some users reported that it couldn’t possibly be me!
‘Hey @bumble, is being me exclusionary? Don’t shut me out of the hive.’
