Kaye Adams has admitted she’d find it ‘difficult’ to curtsy to Queen Consort Camilla, as the Loose Women panel discussed the upcoming Coronation.
Ahead of King Charles III’s Coronation on Saturday, May 6, the nation has responded with mixed feelings about the former Duchess of Cornwall becoming Queen Consort.
Camilla married Charles in 2005, with some blaming her at the time for the breakdown of his partnership with Diana, who split from the future monarch in 1992.
It was said their relationship had ‘irretrievably broken down’ in 1986, the year the then Prince of Wales began an affair with Camilla, leading to mixed feelings towards the future monarch’s wife.
However, Strictly Come Dancing star Kaye has revealed she has other reasons for finding it ‘uncomfortable’ to curtsy to the Queen Consort.

In a discussion on Friday’s Loose Women, the 60-year-old said: ‘How would I feel if she came in here as a Queen and I had to curtsy to her?
‘To be honest, I’d find it difficult.’
As her co-stars including Linda Robson questioned if she would still do it, Kaye continued: ‘The monarchy, it’s there, it’s part of our history etc, but I think once you’re bringing in somebody who is not part of that bloodline then I don’t know.’
She added: ‘The whole entitlement and privilege, I do feel a bit uncomfortable with.’
‘I would do it, but I wouldn’t want to do it,’ Nadia Sawalha agreed.
‘I don’t believe that anybody is better than anybody else.’
This comes after Denise Welch declared she won’t be pledging allegiance to Charles, and woud rather back Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

During Monday’s episode of the daytime show, Denise was asked if she’d be joining in with the public invite to ‘cry out and swear allegiance’ to the King on Saturday, she replied: ‘What do you think? Listen, I’ve got nothing against the Royal Family.

‘However, of late, I am pledging allegiance, if any, to Harry and Meghan. Because of that, I won’t be pledging my allegiance. I don’t even know what you’re pledging for.
‘I am loyal and would pledge my allegiance to my family, and that’s all. I think it’s very outdated. I’m just not a fan of what’s going on at the moment… I wish them all the best in their king and queen-ness.’
Loose Women airs weekdays at 12:30pm on ITV.
