Katherine Ryan has made her feelings about Justin Timberlake quite clear.
The comedian, 40, is never shy of speaking her mind when it comes to men behaving badly – and now she’s taking down the noughties golden boy one word-punch at a time.
Taking to her podcast, Telling Everybody Everything, the Duchess star savaged the Cry Me A River hitmaker, 42, for his behaviour towards Britney Spears all those years ago.
Of course, this little slice of pop culture history has been put under the microscope once more with the release of Britney’s memoir, The Woman In Me, in October.
In it, the Toxic hitmaker, also 42, claimed Justin cheated on her multiple times in their relationship.
Pre-memoir, the story went that Justin and Britney broke up, he hinted she cheated on him through hit song Cry Me A River – using an actor who looked very like his ex in the music video – and essentially left the whole thing with his reputation unscathed.

Meanwhile, Britney wrote of how she was portrayed as ‘a harlot who’d broken the heart of America’s golden boy’, when in reality, their split left her ‘comatose in Louisiana’ while Timberlake was allegedly ‘happily running around Hollywood’.
The pop icon, who did admit to cheating on him, also claimed Justin pressured her into getting an abortion after she became pregnant with his child.
In short: Justin didn’t come across very well in the tell-all, and after a bit of a public eye hiatus, he’s emerged – as Katherine put it, ‘out from the rock he previously crawled behind’ – to perform at the opening of new Las Vegas hotel, Fountainebleau.
Before singing Cry Me A River, Justin said, ‘No disrespect,’ apparently nodding to Britney.
Katherine didn’t like this one bit.
‘So Justin Timberlake popped his grubby little eel face out from the rock he previously crawled behind to perform at the opening of new Las Vegas hotspot, Fountainebleau, smugly offering up, quote “No disrespect,” before performing Cry Me A River and we know that at the time there was loads of press around the song being about Britney Spears cheating on him,’ said Katherine on latest podcast episode.
‘It was supposedly about their breakup and Justin Timberlake at that time could do no wrong, and I really have no problem with him but this is a slimy f***ing thing to say,’ she added.
‘He just wasn’t this nice guy that we thought he was.’

Katherine then went on to retell that Janet Jackson Superbowl moment, where he revealed her boob, leading to much controversy for her, and no consequences for him.
‘He was involved in that Superbowl Janet Jackson boob reveal and she almost lost her career for that and nothing was said about him. He was the one that removed the little part of her bra that showed almost her nipple,’ she said.
‘Janet Jackson, an iconic legendary black woman, took all of the fall for that and Justin Timberlake was like fine, and in his break up with Britney, she sort of went off the rails and Justin Timberlake was… fine.
‘He’s just not the good guy that we thought he was,’ she repeated.
Then, playing the singer at his own game, Katherine added: ‘No disrespect, but the new meaning of that song now is just loaded with poison.’
The comedian then nodded to Britney’s response to the supposed jibe, in which she took to Instagram apparently firing shots back to her ex.
“Psss I never mentioned how I beat him in basketball 🏀 and he would cry … no disrespect,’ Britney wrote in a post.
‘How has Justin not thoroughly got the hint that Britney has receipts, and most of the fandom is on her side?’ asked Katherine, bewildered.
‘Does he think he’s just going to get away with this and Britney will be placed back under a conservatorship? Is Justin Timberlake delusional?’
Then, Katherine shared thoughts on those people her age who are still Justin fans.

‘No disrespect – quote,’ she quipped, ‘if I saw a woman rocking a Justin Timberlake jacket it would have to be ironically.
‘If Justin wants to win the respect of women in my age group – we are also the first generation of real pop culture feminists, we discovered girl power with the Spice Girls, we’re always a team Britney kind of generation, and so we have to hate Justin now.’
Despite thinking he’s talented, liking his music and having met him once and he was ‘perfectly lovely’, Katherine isn’t sold.
‘What is he now like a restauranteur who wants to do corporates in Vegas, and wants to slag off my best friend Britney Spears? I don’t think so,’ she said.
‘His only hope is relaunching himself ironically to me, and then I could see myself supporting him but only as a joke. And going to his concerts but only as a joke. And watching him dance like Usher… but only as a joke.’
