Kate Garraway will spend Christmas in hospital with her husband Derek Draper.
Derek, 56, who was struck down with Covid in 2020, became ill last Monday.
He is said to have suffered a ‘huge heart attack’ and is ‘fighting for his life’.
Kate, also 56, will remain by her husband’s side in hospital over the festive period, the Mirror reported on Monday.
Good Morning Britain presenter Kate is said to have cancelled all TV and radio work to keep vigil 24/7, taking an indefinite leave of absence from presenting.
At the beginning of the week, Kate’s GMB colleagues sent her a moving message of support.

Charlotte Hawkins took Kate’s spot as she told viewers: ‘We wanted to start with an update. You have seen that Derek, Kate’s husband, is sadly very poorly at the moment.
‘We want to let Derek, Kate and the whole family know we are thinking of them, and that we’re sending them our very best wishes.’
Solemnly, her co-anchor Richard Madeley added: ‘It is a very difficult time’.
‘Extremely difficult. Lots of love,’ agreed Charlotte as they moved onto the news, giving no more insight into the state of Derek’s health.

Confirming Derek’s latest bout of ill health last week, a source told The Sun: ‘Everyone is praying for a miracle.
‘Derek suffered a massive heart attack earlier this week which has left him fighting for his life all over again.
‘It was sudden and a shock as he had been doing so well and was in great spirits, looking forward to Christmas at home with the family.’
The source said this setback had been a huge blow for his family and all the people caring for him’.
