Descending on Venice for the city’s International Film Festival, stars from far and wide put on their fiercest frocks to attend the 80th anniversary of the annual amFAR Gala on Sunday night.
Kate Beckinsale, 50, led the charge of famous names taking over the red carpet and turned heads in a black sheer gold-trimmed number.
The actress posed for flashing cameras in her floor-length gown that featured a train and fringed golden tassels around its edges.
Showing off her impeccable figure, the dress was made of a sheer black material that exposed a sequined gold bodysuit hidden underneath the dramatic garment.
The star’s frock came right up to her neck where it was cuffed with a chunky gold choker and also carried a thigh-high split revealing the golden sky-high platform heels Kate glided on throughout the evening.
Adding to the fashionable moment, she pulled her caramel hair into a wavy ponytail and accessorised with some gold ornate earrings.

American actress Bella Thorne, 25, followed suit and brought a jaw-dropping dress with her to Italy as she stood for pictures on the carpet with her fiance Bad Vegan producer Mark Emms, 44.
She opted for all black and wore a slinky, figure-hugging strapless number that featured sheer panels in the form of horizontal stripes on the skirt.
The corset-like top was adorned with ruffles and she elevated her height with some strappy black stiletto heels.
Bella chose dark, dramatic makeup with nudes and a smokey eye and wore her red hair down, pushed behind her shoulders.
She wore a simple black chocker around her neck and jazzed up her ears with some metallic, dangling pieces.

Rita Ora, 32, was also in attendance and matched her fellow British star Kate in a sheer cape that covered a tan-coloured body suit underneath.
The singer’s outfit carried a huge white detailing on one shoulder that was fixed to the black see-through fabric in an arty wave.
Around her waist she sported a diamonte belt that matched the necklace she had on and added some platform stiletto heels to finish off the head-turning ensemble.
She let her long locks hang loose down her back and plaited two of her front strands while she kept her makeup to a minimum.
