Kanye West has just released his latest Yeezy innovation, announcing the sale of $200 socks.
After a week making headlines over his apology to the Jewish community, the I Wonder rapper confirmed the latest product from his fashion brand earlier today, and immediately sparked confusion with an advert for Yeezy Pods.
Taking to Twitter, the 46-year-old showcased the design of his new socks in a 14-second video, explaining that Yeezy Pods are available now.
Clicking through to the link supplied, fans realized that the ‘Pods’ were actually socks, and were on sale for a snip at $200.
Yes, seriously.
Many were left baffled by the product name, as well as the footage of the socks, which initially looked like headphones.
‘Advertising it like it’s a pair of ear buds,’ one baffled follower said.
‘Wow only $200 for a sock,’ another joked. ‘I’m good I already got socks for Christmas.’
‘Are they socks or headphones?’ a Twitter user queried.
‘I thought he was releasing earpods for a sec,’ one agreed.

‘We call them socks, Ye,’ a fan joked.
A commenter complained: ‘The name and the opening frame doesn’t prepare you for what this is.’
Kanye’s innovating solution to socks comes after he issued a lengthy apology to the Jewish community, a year after a string of offensive comments.
Last year, the dad-of-four declared that he would be going ‘death con 3 on Jewish people’ in a now-deleted tweet.
He went on to lose lucrative contracts – including his deal with Adidas – and was briefly banned from Twitter and Instagram after he doubled down on his antisemitic statements.

On another occasion, he praised Hitler’s ‘redeeming qualities’ and also denied the Holocaust ever happened.
However, the Grammy-winner seemingly had a change of heart this week and wiped his social media profiles, before uploading a post written entirely in Hebrew.
‘I sincerely apologize to the Jewish community for any unintended outburst caused by my words or actions,’ it reportedly translates to.
‘It was not my intention to hurt or demean, and I deeply regret any pain I may have caused. I am committed to starting with myself and learning from this experience to ensure greater sensitivity and understanding in the future.
‘Your forgiveness is important to me, and I am committed to making amends and promoting unity.’
Kanye is currently preparing for a return to the spotlight, with the release of his Yeezy Pods, as well as new album Vultures, with Ty Dolla Sign, dropping on New Year’s Day.
