There’s no denying Taylor Swift has some famous fans, with various celebrities spotted at her Eras Tour gigs and now Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has joined the fandom.
The Cardigan singer announced even more dates in the UK and Europe for her international leg of the total discography tour.
While we British swifties might be stressed about getting tickets, spare a thought for Canadians as Taylor, 33, has announced zero shows in the country.
Fans have been lamenting as many didn’t get tickets for gigs in neighbouring America because they thought she would perform across the border.
Prime Minister Trudeau has seen this as a matter worth addressing as he tweeted at the star begging her to add the country to her Eras Tour lineup.
‘It’s me, hi. I know places in Canada would love to have you. So, don’t make it another cruel summer. We hope to see you soon,’ the 51-year-old wrote.

The politician referenced three songs from Taylor’s discography, starting with chart-topping lead single Anti-Hero from her latest album Midnights.
‘I know places’ is a more subtle nod to a song of the same name on the album that took the artist from country singer to bonafide pop icon – 1989.
He rounded off with ‘cruel summer’, from Lover, which is having a bit of a resurgence in the cultural consciousness and is finally becoming a single.
After the US leg, Taylor announced shows in Japan, Australia, Singapore, and Latin America before jetting off to Europe and the UK – no luck for Canadians though.
Among Taylor’s famous fans is actress Toni Collette who thanked Taylor for bringing ‘endless joy and inspiration’.
The 50-year-old actress shared photos of herself at the Eras Tour in Cincinnati, Ohio, at the weekend, where one fan managed to sunburn Taylor’s lyrics onto her skin.
Toni shared photos and videos from the show and wrote on Instagram: ‘Thank you @taylorswift for the MOST INCREDIBLE night last night‼️

‘Your talent is immeasurable and your generosity boundless. Thank you for sharing it all with the world. You bring endless joy and inspiration to many, including me.
‘It’s bloody brilliant seeing you having the time of your life up there. We’ll never forget it. Brava lady! #sheisher #erastour (sic)’
The Hereditary actress – who has daughter Sage, 15, and son Arlo, 12, with estranged husband David Galafassi -didn’t end her praise there as she went on to praise Taylor and Billie Eilish for being great role models to young people.
She wrote: ‘“’Just a few more. Can’t help it. Every song is a triumph. Every era is beautiful.
‘Here is a quick story… in an English class at school my daughter’s teacher read the writing of William Shakespeare and Taylor Swift to the students who then had to guess who penned each paragraph or sentence. They often guessed Shakespeare when it was in fact Taylor.
‘Her musical storytelling is timeless and ageless and often speaks to the soul. I’m so happy my daughter has the likes of @taylorswift and @billieeilish to look up to.
‘What great songwriters, musicians and decent, hard-working creative women they are. (sic)’
Taylor is set to play 13 shows in visiting London, Edinburgh, Liverpool, and Cardiff next year, which coincidentally is the artist’s favourite number.
