Justin Bieber has been dealt a huge blow as he pays tribute to his grandad Bruce Dale, who died aged 80.

The Love Yourself hitmaker, 31, said he will ‘ache’ for his maternal grandad, who died on Thursday, April 23, in Stratford, Ontario.

According to an obituary seen by The Independent, Dale died in the Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth ‘peacefully’.

Penning an emotional farewell, Justin posted a picture of his younger self holding Dale’s face on Instagram.

In the caption, he shared memories with his ‘Papa’, hinting at the playful dynamic the pair had.

‘I would always convince you to spend on snacks at the hockey game on Friday nights. Reluctantly you always gave it to me.

‘Corn nuts, skittles, gum balls, chuck a puck, slush puppies.

‘Shout out to the jr b referees Beatty, Fagon, Flanagan lmfaoFor enduring all of my grandpas heckling for all of your horrible referee calls lmfao , my grandpa wasn’t shy in letting them know that they were being pieces of s**ts.’

Away from the teasing Justin added: ‘I can’t wait to see u again soon in heaven . Until then I know ur watching down probly still heckling Beatty or Fagon for missing that cross-check call in the corner there lmfao.’

He said he would ‘miss’ his granddad and ‘will ache’ for the loss, concluding: ‘And I’ll sit and let myself remember all of the wonderful times we’ve had.’

On his story he also shared a home video of him as a toddler running into his grandad’s arms.

Justin’s wife Hailey also marked his passing by sharing Justin’s post to her Instagram Story.

She wrote ‘love you grandpa Bruce’ alongside it and emblazoned her post with two dove emojis, and a set of angel wings.
