In a candidTwitch stream JustAMinx owned up to her struggles with alcohol and promised to learn when to call it quits.

Following a brief hiatus, Irish streamer JustAMinx has returned to Twitch to address her drinking habits that caused the Streamer Awards afterparty to get shut down, according to QTCinderella.

Minx revealed that she is battling with alcoholism and is committed to turning her life around, acknowledging that she needs to learn when to say stop.

The incident occurred weeks after receiving a ban for appearing intoxicated on the platform, with the streamer now admitting to having ‘borderline alcoholic’ tendencies.

According to host QTCinderella, Minx was only allowed to attend the Streamer Awards afterparty on the condition that she refrained from alcohol.

However, things quickly spiralled out of control, resulting in the party being shut down, an ambulance being called, and QTCinderella allegedly losing around $50,000 (£40,700) due to a contract with the venue.

Although the incident played out in the public eye, QTCinderella has since expressed regret about sharing those details and wished that the situation had been handled in private.

‘What I need to stop is, when I go to a party, I need to know when to stop drinking. When I start drinking… I know that it’s borderline alcoholic,’ said Minx recounting the past few weeks.

Since the incident, Minx has returned to Ireland to stay with her parents, as she starts the path to recovery.

She’s also currently gearing up for an upcoming boxing match on KSI’s MF x DAZN series 006 event. Minx has said she’s taking extra precautions due to her ongoing battle with alcohol.

The streamer revealed that she’s been getting regular check-ups, including an MRI scan and blood tests, following a recent alcohol-induced seizure.

Despite concerns from some fans, Minx assured them she’s good to go through with the fight, having secured her doctors’ approval.
