Daily Express – Exposed! Junior doctors’ plot to cripple the NHS again
The Daily Express claims to have uncovered a plot by junior doctors to strike again despite already “banking a huge pay rise”. The paper says it’s seen a video showing a British Medical Association employee telling junior doctors the aim was to “bank” the current deal and walk out again in April. According to the Express, the revelation has prompted Conservative MPs to accuse Labour of being too weak to stand up to “its union paymasters”.
Elsewhere, the final image of nine-year-old Alice da Silva Aguiar features on the front page – the paper calls it ‘heartbreaking’. Elsewhere, Team GB – and Prince William and Princess Kate feature on the front page, as the royals pay tribute to the athletes.
Junior doctors plot to cripple NHS again and humiliate Labour after eye-watering pay deal
A plot by junior doctors to strike again despite already banking a huge pay rise is today exposed by the Daily Express.
Our revelations led to Tory MPs accusing the Labour Party of being too weak to stand up to its “union paymasters”.
Ex-Home Secretary Dame Priti Patel said: “It’s taken just a month for Labour to show their true colours.”
The leadership contender added: “Not content with extracting an inflation-busting pay deal from this dreadful socialist government, the unions will now inflict more pain and longer waiting lists on the British public to demand more.
“This shows why the Conservative Party must unite to win the next election and put an end to a Government run and funded by secretive union bosses.”
And writing in the Daily Express, Shadow Health Secretary Victoria Atkins warned Labour was dragging the UK back to the 1970s with its failure to stand up to the unions.
Heartbreaking tributes for little girl, 9, as funeral held in Southport
The funeral of one of the three young children killed in the Southport knife rampage is taking place on Sunday afternoon.
Alice Da Silva Aguiar, aged nine, was one of three youngsters who died in the attack at the Taylor Swift-themed dance class on Monday, July 29.
Several other children and adults were injured in the attack, which also claimed the lives of six-year-old Bebe King and seven-year-old Elsie Dot Stancombe.
The private funeral is set to take place at St Patrick’s Church in Southport on Sunday afternoon, with hundreds of people expected to line the streets of Southport.
At a memorial service at the same church on Tuesday, a speaker, speaking on behalf of Alice’s family, said: “Alice, you are the most beautiful, strongest girl in the world and I hope you know we love you from the bottom of our hearts. Keep smiling and dancing with the girls.”
