Judy Finnigan glowing in rare appearance after stepping back from spotlight
Judy Finnigan has proven she’s doing better than ever in a rare appearance after retreating from the public eye.
The former This Morning host celebrated her 77th birthday over the weekend in the company of daughter Chloe Madeley, 37, and husband Richard Madeley, 69.
Her family gave fans an insight into their wholesome celebrations with a series of online snaps taken in the sunshine.
Judy looked radiant in a long floral dress from Boden, costing £126. Proving she’s as easily pleased by a dress with pockets as the rest of the female population, she posed with her hands in them, beaming out in the family garden.
Other pictures included her being gifted a card and balloons shaped like tulips while Chloe carried over a cake.
The sweet treat itself was covered with vibrant icing and pastel decorations, and Judy couldn’t hide her joy as her loved ones sang to her.

In fact, it seems her bday bash ended up stretching over two days, as further photos posted by Chloe showed her chilling on the outdoor furniture with her mother, both sporting casual attire.
It also proved to fall at just the right time for all the family to be together, as older child Jack Madeley celebrated his birthday the following day.
Of course, there was also time to play with Chloe’s daughter, two-year-old Bodhi, whom she shares with ex-husband James Haskell.
The toddler undoubtedly brought some welcome chaos to the weekend, running around and placing a toy rabbit on her grandparents’ heads.
Chloe wrote in her Instagram caption: ‘Happy birthday to my favourite woman in the world 👑’
She also quoted a line from Taylor Swift’s song the 1, adding: ‘🎶Rosé flowing with your chosen family🎶☀️’

Proving Judy’s popularity is still going strong, the comments section was flooded with well-wishes for her.
‘Happy birthday Queen Judy 😍’, wrote Vicky Pattison.
Vanessa Feltz added: ‘Happy birthday Judy❤️’
Having once been a regular on our screens, Judy keeps a lower profile these days.
While Richard remains a frequent face on ITV, Judy initially began bidding farewell to her TV career due to health reasons.
Speaking previously to Woman’s Own, she admitted her job became nearly ‘impossible’ to sustain.

‘Menopause can be horrible. Mine was, and it affected my work badly.’
She continued: ‘Menopause is major; it changes women’s lives dramatically, sometimes ruinously. Why shouldn’t we talk about it, communicate the misery of hot flushes and mood swings that can make working life impossible? It’s about time.’
In 2010, Judy also fought to save her eyesight, undergoing several operations when her retina became detached. Around this time, she also suffered from a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in both knees.
By her side through it all has been Good Morning Britain broadcaster Richard, whom she married in 1986.

Offering an insight into over three decades of marriage, Richard recently shared that co-presenting daytime television helped ‘save’ their relationship.
Appearing on Chloe Madeley: A Family Affair on ITVX, Richard recalled: ‘Well, I mean, sometimes, you’d have a row. And you’d get to work not talking. But the show was a cure.
‘I mean, it wasn’t, like, false; you actually did genuinely have to come on and do the double act. You would find that within maybe 15, 20 minutes of going on air.’
